Russian Tarragon Herb Seeds

Russian Tarragon is a perennial plant which is easy to grow in either pots or a herb garden. Not always easy to find in the supermarket, so a definite recommendation to grow your own.

This variety can be sown from March to June when the soil is warm and will be ready to be harvested about two months after the sowing.

It has a lovely lemony, aniseed flavour, the leaves are delicious used with fish or chicken dishes. One of our favourites is using it as filling when roasting a whole chicken:

Fill the cavity with a mix of tarragon leaves, creme fraiche, lemon and black pepper, then roast the chicken for 1.5 hours - enjoy!
